A rich, buttery Southern dessert made with yellow cake mix, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Ooey, gooey, and dangerously delicious!
2 Mixing Bowls
1 Rubber Spatula
1 Whisk
1 9x13 inch baking pan
Cake Base
- 1 Yellow Cake Box Mix
- ½ cup Melted Butter (1 stick)
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ tsp Almond Extract (optional)
Cream Cheese Layer
- 1 Block of Cream Cheese (softened)
- 2 Eggs
- 1½ tsp Vanilla Extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grease or line a 9x13 baking pan with Parchment paper
Combine the Yellow Cake Box Mix, Butter, Eggs, and Vanilla Extract in a mixing bowl and stir until smooth.
Pour into the 9x13 pan then set aside
In another mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Once the cream cheese and egg is together slowly add in your powdered sugar
Pour the Cream Cheese mixture on top of the cake base in the pan
Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes
Allow to cool and top with powdered sugar and even caramel for something extra!
